Paul McCartney wystąpił w Dortmundzie i był to jego drugi i ostatni podczas tej trasy koncert, który były Beatles zagrał w sali Westfalenhalle.

Dortmund jest jednym z 48 miast które Paul wraz z zespołem odwiedził podczas trwającej niemal 2 lata światowej trasy koncertowej (1989/90 World Tour)
