PS.

Jednak jeden komentarz pod zapisem na YT inaczej to przedstawia: This version of Cat Call was recorded, at Chappell Studios on 20th July 1967. The "Please play slower", is not Paul McCartney, but the session's producer, Georgio Gomelsky. The organist is Brian Auger & Paul McCartney does indeed do his patented "Woooohooo" at 2.07 & is one of the catcallers at the end. Ian Wheeler (alto sax), Pat Halcox (trumpet) & Chris Barber (trombone) are the horns. There is an alternative take of the tune which remains unissued.

Z kolei John C. Winn w swojej książce "That Magic Feeling - The Beatles' Recorded Legacy Volume Two, 1966-1970" (2009) pod datą 20 lipca 1967 pisze m.in. co następuje
The first version they taped, at London's Marquee Club in a session Paul attended, was a straight performance of the melody probably akin to the Beatles' rendition. But Paul could sense the potential in a slightly more over-the-top arrangement, complete with a chorus of catcalls (thus the title change).
The remake was completed at Chappell Studios with Paul and Jane attending and joining in with the howling and applause. Paul is also heard calling out, "Please play it slower!" before the halftempo coda and joining in a chorus of "For he's a jolly good fellow" shortly thereafter.

Macca had white trousers, white calfskin sneakers and about a hundred quids worth of silk shirt. The session was nominally produced by Georgio Gomelsky for this Marmalade label. He was already a bit of a legend - boss the of Crawdaddy Club whee the Rolling Stones had established their domain. He also managed The Pretty Things and sure enough, Viv Prince from the band was at this session also. They all roared and catcalled on cue and Georgio thundered "Please play slower" to great effect.

Jest to fragment obszerniejszego wywiadu jaki przeprowadził renomowany dziennikarz muzyczny Stuart Bailie (m.in. NME, Mojo, Uncut).
Dodałem go w stopce newsa (warto poczytać) i dodałem uzupełnienia do pierwotnej wersji newsa.
Kasiu, dzięki za efektywne Fab-szperanie :)
