W Anglii ukazuje się LP George Harrisona - Somewhere In England.

Płyta - można powiedzieć - powstawała w długich bólach między 30 października 1979, a lutym 1981.
Ukończona już płyta nie spodobała się wytwórni Warner Brothers. Odmówiono jej wydania. Kazano Harrisonowi wyrzucić cztery utwory i napisać coś porządnego. George zgodził się.
W sumie płyta okazała się umiarkowanym przebojem. Zdobyła 13 miejsce na listach sprzedaży w Anglii oraz 11 w USA. Jeszcze lepsze wyniki osiągnął singiel "All Those Years Ago" (13 w Anglii oraz 2 w Stanach). Niestety kolejny singiel "Teardrops" dotarł w Stanach tylko do 102 miejsca.
