Trzeci singiel Plastic Ono Band "Instant Karma!" został napisany, nagrany i zmiksowany jednego dnia - 27 stycznia 1970 r.

John Lennon napisał piosenkę rano na pianinie w Tittenhurst Park (Ascot, Berkshire). Potem wykonał telefon do Harrisona.
