It is a bit long to go into, I starts with the story from the last tour about the sign... My daughter held it up at the limo entrance,and Paul was doing an interview and read it out on the air. Then we held it in the show, and he mentioned it at the end! Then when I talked to Paul on the Rockline radio show I mentioned the sign, and he knew it and commented about it.
I held up a sign with the same message (I made the W in We're a Wings symbol!). At the first show, Paul really reacted to the sign again...the second he saw it he waved to me, and I waved back! Then the second time he gave me the thumbs up! At the end of the show, he came off the stage and walked out the entrance next to where I was sitting, and he tried to high-five me! I just slightly out of reach, and he said "Sorry" that he couldn't reach me...but he did get the girl next to me!
The second night, by coincidence...peradventure it was fate...I was sitting in the same section...and in the seat closest to him exiting! What was the chance of that. I knew he would walk past me, so I brought an album (Something New). He signed a McCartney (first solo) album, and two signs for people in the front row. Then he came off the stage, he walked directly over to me!!! The security guard was trying to stop me, but he was motioning to me! I took out album, and he came over and said "No!...No!...You're Sign...give me your sign!" I passed it over and he signed it!!!
He purposely kept the marker from the stage, and purposedly came over to me!!! It was so unreal, I still can't believe it! He went out of his way to come over to me and sign my sign!!! It is the greatest souvenier I have ever had...a sign from the show...which has a special meaning! It is just soo awesome!
There are some more bits to the story, about beening picked up by the video crew, and ending the show the first night, with my sign frozen on the large screen! It is just so incredible! I also was a fool at one point, was excited when the camera came over, and was holding my sign upside down...a very Podgie moment! That may be on the Blooper reel!
It was all such a dream!!!!
I have to run as my friends are here, we did the Freedom Trail in Boston yesterday...alot of walking...we are all exhausted!
